This has yet to fail me when I need something quick and funny to read。 As much as I hate insect monsters this volume was pretty good， especially since it has two branches of storylines happening that balance out the badass fights with the humor of Saitama being adorable and clueless。

This was a fun continuation to the series but a little disjointed for me。 I would have liked to have had more of a focus on Saitama instead of some of the smaller heroes。 Having said that， Metal Bat and his sister were adorable and by far my favourite part of this volume。

While Metal Bat’s fight with Garu was rather good。。。 and the end was fantastic。。。 I really prefer the tournament。 I guess I’m just an old fan of Dragon Ball Z with all that kind of hi-jinx。 But One-Punch Man？ It’s SUBVERSIVE。 It still manages to make fun of the entire manga industry at every single step， AND It holds its own without satire。 Perfection。

This volume can basically be described as， Metal Bat is Awesome， the monsters strike back， and Saitama enters in a martial arts competition。I really enjoyed watching Metal Bat go toe to toe with some imposing monsters， the fights are well illustrated and dynamic。

Still kinda bugs me a hell of a lot that VIZ leaves the Centipedes as "Centichoro" and "Centisenpai" but "Kinzoku Bat" is translated to "Metal Bat" and fucking "Inazumax" is "Lightning Max，" losing the portmanteau。Anyway， we get ever-closer to the arrival of the "Monster Association" （Phoenix Man gives a flyer to Garou） while Garou continues his "hero hunt" and the "Super Fight" tournament begins for Saitama。 While I still more-or-less respect ONE's desire to stretch the Garou/MA arc out a bit m Still kinda bugs me a hell of a lot that VIZ leaves the Centipedes as "Centichoro" and "Centisenpai" but "Kinzoku Bat" is translated to "Metal Bat" and fucking "Inazumax" is "Lightning Max，" losing the portmanteau。Anyway， we get ever-closer to the arrival of the "Monster Association" （Phoenix Man gives a flyer to Garou） while Garou continues his "hero hunt" and the "Super Fight" tournament begins for Saitama。 While I still more-or-less respect ONE's desire to stretch the Garou/MA arc out a bit more so it isn't as lightning-fast as in his original webcomic， I'm kinda feeling it might start feeling a little grating later on。 I've watched the second season of the anime when it aired some time ago， so I've seen all that happens from volumes 8 through partway into 17， but I've also already read the whole arc in the webcomic's original iteration， so I know a lot of stuff （most of the Wolf/Tiger-level monster fights， the whole tournament） is pretty much fluff， and in reading Murata's manga I'm seeing just how much JC Staff blazed through the material for their anime。 In five episodes， JC Staff covered four entire manga volumes。 Being able to compare better， having chosen to read Murata's manga after JC Staff's anime adaptation ended， I'm thinking the manga's pace at least was better， but I fear the Super Fight will drag on a bit more in future volumes。Beyond this， it's cool to see Kinzoku Bat do his thing， much like the parodic Weekly Shonen Jump protagonist he is， with his perseverance being key to his power。 It's great to see ONE allow Murata to give Garou more foreshadowing， by being disgusted by the Monster Association invitation and lingering near KB and his sister to try to kill the jellyfish guy （subconsciously protecting the little girl）。Most importantly， we get Do-S。 。。。more

La pelea de Metal Bate es de mis favoritas y esta hizo que él también se convirtiera en uno de mis héroes favoritos。 El final de su pelea contra Garou me parece muy chistoso。Empieza además el torneo y todo es muy absurdo。 El extra también es divertido。En este volumen hay fanservice que me molestó y un par de comentarios que me parecieron machistas。
